Kelly Thiebaud (Britt Westbourne, General Hospital) reveals she is in quarantine after she tested positive for COVID-19 -- and this time, it was a real positive.
Hot on the heels of the news that General Hospital star Kirsten Storms (Maxie Jones) has been recovering after developing COVID over the soap's holiday break comes news that Kelly Thiebaud (Britt Westbourne) is currently quarantining after she, too, tested positive for the virus.
Thiebaud took to Twitter on Thursday to share her diagnosis and quarantine status, which she says at least has given her time to binge-watch some TV.
"Getting Covid has given me a lot of things, good and bad.. 1 good has been the time to FINALLY binge #Gameofthrones I do really wish I would've watched this with the rest of the world..." she wrote.

General Hospital delayed its return to production after the holiday hiatus by one week as a precaution due to the surge in Omicron variant infections and returned earlier this week, instead. Though it has now been revealed that at least two stars from the soap have recently tested positive for the virus, the ABC soap's decision to push back production was reportedly made out of an abundance of caution and not because of a specific outbreak at the soap.
As GH fans may recall, this is the second time that Thiebaud has shared a positive COVID result, but the first time was a frustrating fluke: she had a false-positive back in April of 2021, and in line with the Los Angeles Public Health rules at the time, she was unable to return to work for ten days.
It's unclear at this time if Thiebaud's COVID diagnosis will impact her scenes or filming schedule at GH. Keep checking back to Soap Central for updates as they come.
