Former soap spouses Jack Wagner and Kristina Wagner have joined season two of Hallmark's When Calls the Heart.
General Hospital's Jack Wagner (ex-Frisco Jones) and Kristina Wagner (Felicia Jones) may no longer be husband and wife -- they ended their marriage in 2006 -- but that isn't stopping the former spouses from working together. Both have been confirmed as regular cast members in season two of Hallmark's When Calls the Heart, which begins this April.
The series, based on the bestselling books by Janette Oke, follows characters in a 19th century mining community and also stars Lori Laughlin (Full House, Summerland), Daniel Lissing, and Erin Krakow.
"Our amazing fans have proven their loyalty and devotion to the endearing characters and riveting stories of When Calls the Heart with remarkable ratings and outstanding social media engagement throughout season one," said Executive Vice President, Programming, Crown Media Family Networks, Michelle Vicary. "We promise more great stories, great romance and great drama in the second season of this beloved, original series."
Jack Wagner made his debut on the series in the last few episodes of season one. He played forensic investigator Bill Avery, love interest to Laughlin's character, Abigail. There are no details surrounding Kristina's character at this time, though season two of the series is rumored to feature a secret from Bill's past that could threaten his future with Abigail. Might Kristina's character be involved?
Find out when season two of When Calls the Heart premieres with a special two-hour episode on Saturday, April 4.
