GH Now! is here and Nancy Lee Grahn has the details

General Hospital news from 2014

GH Now! host Nancy Lee Grahn shares behind-the-scenes details on the digital series, which debuted January 12.

General Hospital's spin-off digital series, GH Now! premiered today, and to celebrate, host Nancy Lee Grahn (Alexis Davis) has shared a story about the series' birth.

"Once upon a time there was a middle child named Nancy who could easily find a spotlight but could never find the Easter eggs...or a husband," she wrote on Twitlonger. "After she found a way to force people to pay attention to her by making a living on TV, she met an aging and bitter improv/sketch performer when she wrestled him to the ground after he attempted to steal the 'cake of the month' from... her front porch. Fortunately for him, Nancy didn't press charges because she didn't know how to work her phone. Fortunately for her, Kaore was a General Hospital fan who knew how to work her stove. Together they forged a friendship based on social media outrage, disdain for crappy drivers, politics, sushi, Burt Bacharach, Bewitched, the power of a good martini, and the attraction to men named Steve."

The actress continued: "One day Kaore and Nancy cooked up an idea to take General Hospital on an off-ramp where viewers can see a different side to their favorite actors. Fortunately for them, Nathan Varni and the fine folks at ABC Digital were working on the same recipe. With a dash of irreverence from Kaore & Nancy, a pinch of creative freedom and some greenbacks from ABC, some expert ham and cheese from the cast of General Hospital, and a splash of love for the GH fans, the GH Now souffl was puffing up and taking shape. [Today], the first three of the six servings will be ready for you to dig in to and we hope you really enjoy it. There is a little something in there for everyone to chew on. It's calorie free so please watch as often as you like but please do your own dishes."
