Réal Andrews returns to General Hospital

Popular General Hospital star Réal Andrews shares that he's grateful to be back on set as his Port Charles alter ego, Marcus Taggert -- a role that has temporarily been filled by actor Asante Jones.

It's good news all around from General Hospital star Ral Andrews (Marcus Taggert). Hot on the heels of the news that he is currently cancer free comes word from the actor himself that he has returned to the ABC soap opera after having been briefly recast last November.

Andrews took to Facebook this week to reveal that he is grateful to be back on set at the Prospect Studios, where GH shoots. He shared a photo of himself with his costars Donnell Turner (Curtis Ashford) and Steve Burton (Jason Morgan), and another snap of him with Briana Nicole Henry (Jordan Ashford), which he captioned, "Taggert n' Jordan...? Should they hook up...? Yes or no?"

Viewers probably have all kind of answers for Andrews' question about the romantic possibilities for Taggert and Jordan, but there's another question that's likely forefront in their minds: why did GH briefly recast the role of Taggert with actor Asante Jones late last year?

Unfortunately, Andrews has yet to address why he has been absent from the ABC soap opera the past two months, so for now, fans will have to simply rejoice with the news that he's back. Oh, and keep busy speculating about Taggert's romantic future!

In addition to playing GH's Taggert, Andrews is known for his roles as Hal Michaels on Days of our Lives, Walker Daniels on As the World Turns, and Agent Trumball on All My Children.

How do you feel about Réal Andrews returning to the role of GH's Taggert? What are your thoughts on making Taggert and Jordan a couple?
