A$AP Rocky and Puma are collaborating again for the newer version of the Mostro sneakers. Puma and the singer have previously collaborated on many items, including quilted sweatshirts, quilted sweatpants, a toolbox bag, leather belts, and so on. However, the one item that was most loved by the fans was the Mostro sneakers.

Last year's version of the Mostro shoes carried the 3D printing resin design with spike detail all over the shoes. The new Mostro shoes take inspiration from the disc system and have been named Mostro Disccord. The shoes will come in black with a spiked outsole for design, like the previous Mostro sneakers.

It will be released on Puma's website and other selected retailers on March 27 for $200.

Jon Tang talks about the disc design in the new A$AP Rocky x PUMA Mostro sneakers

The new Mostro shoes come with a disc system. In an interview, Mostro's designer, Jon Tang, shared the benefits of the disc, which is being added to the sneakers, by adding,

"The Disc system was ahead of its time; turning a wheel to tighten just makes sense. It’s beautifully simple yet technically complex. There’s also something satisfying about the clicking sound, like a haptic and sensory quality — it gives the shoe a life of its own. The Disc also shapes the upper both in energy and execution."

PUMA has previously applied the Disc System in several products, including Original Disc Blaze, Disc Blaze Cove, and Mihara Yasuhiro MY-6 Disc.

Puma also added the description of the new sneakers, mentioning A$AP Rocky on their website, which says,

"The Mostro Disccords is a transformation of A$AP Rocky’s favorite archival style from the early 2000’s: the PUMA Mostro. Bringing uniqueness and function to the style, Rocky took an original PUMA sneaker closure system, the Disc, to create a laceless shoe. Unlike anything you’ve seen before, this new creation brings sleekness to any outfit with a triple-black design, premium materials, and the signature Mostro spiky sole."

The shoes have a net design detailing on the upper and the sides with a mesh inner lining for comfort. The discs are attached to the sides, which removes the need to tie the laces. The Puma logo is added on the tongue and on the back of the shoes for branding. Additionally, the outsole features lines and spikes that add to traction.
