The Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week 2025 is in full swing, and the Schiaparelli Haute Couture SS25 show has the internet buzzing. The luxury fashion house unveiled its Haute Couture design by Daniel Roseberry on the runway on January 27, 2025, at the Petit Palais Museum.

Schiaparelli, known for its avant-garde designs, kicked off this year’s Couture roster with ultra-feminine designs— cinched waists, ruffled lace, and embroidered silk. Kendall Jenner, the brand’s longtime muse, walked the runway in a delicate design consisting of a bow-shaped bustier, exaggerated hips, and a silk skirt with embroidery of the house’s signature motifs.

Jenner, like most models at the Schiaparelli Haute Couture show, wore a slick-back hairstyle accentuated by dewy and minimalist makeup.

More details on the Schiaparelli Haute Couture SS25 Show

The Schiaparelli Haute Couture SS25 Collection is named Icarus and pays homage to the mythological Greek character who flies too close to the sun. Kendall Jenner, Angelina Kendall, Alex Consani, Mona Tougard, Loli Bahi, and Lulu Tenney were amongst the models that graced the runway.

According to show notes, the designs are:

“nod(s) to a wide range of references – obsessions – from the past century plus.”

Alex Consani walked in a coat made of feathers while Mona Tougaard glided through in a mocha-hued floor-length gown. The runway also featured oversized blazers with embroidery, A-line skirts, and feathers dipped in glycerin.

In an interview with WWD published on January 27, 2025, creative designer Daniel Roseberry spoke on the idea behind the flamboyant designs:

“I’m over the idea that minimalism equals modernism, and so I found that my eye was hungry and thirsting for something that was a bit less streamlined, a bit more worked.”

He also revealed that the color scheme for the collection took inspiration from the ribbons from the early 19th century that he found in an antique shop.
