More details on the RM 16-02 Automatic Extraflat Watch

The brand describes the RM 16-02 Automatic Extraflat watch as follows:

"The RM 16-02 Automatic Extraflat not only impresses with its technical prowess but also captivates with its unique aesthetics."

Its description continues:

"The design and execution of the watch demonstrate a holistic approach to the conception of the movement, case, and dial. As a result, everything has been constructed according to extremely rigorous specifications… This illustrates the emphasis placed on uncompromising high quality."

The RM 16-02 Automatic Extraflat watch comes in a skeletal design that showcases a newly developed CRMA9 in-house movement with hours and minutes framed by a micro-blasted grey electro plasma treated titanium base plate. The black PVD-treated motion-work bridge creates a perfect contrast with the titanium. The baseplate on the black increases the caliber's complexity while concealing a part of the involute-profile gear train and the variable inertia balance.

The watch features a free-sprung balance that provides adequate shock resistance and reliability in the event of movement disassembly or assembly. It comes with a thickness of 4.12 mm. The rectangular-shaped case maintains a wrist-fitting curvature that ensures a flexible fit at all times and has a water-resistant feature of up to 30 meters.

Its use of the OneWay winding system with the platinum rotor and ceramic ball bearings ensures that the barrel can be well-wound while maintaining the watch's compact dimensions. A look at the dial reveals a complex wire decal that guides the indices movement.

The Automatic Winding Extraflat comes with a power reserve of about 50 hours and has gone through numerous aging and shock-resistance tests.

Other luxury watches from Richard Mille include the Automatic Flyback Chronograph RM 11-03 and the Sylvester Stallone RM 25-01.
