On March 18, 2025, Kanye West shared a long text through his X account. The rapper voiced his frustration at Renzo Rosso and his business ventures, Maison Margiela and Diesel.
Renzo Rosso is an Italian entrepreneur and businessman. He started the fashion label Diesel and currently also serves as the president of the OTB Group. The OTB Group is the umbrella business comprising many luxury labels like Maison Margiela, Marni, Viktor & Rolf, and Jil Sander.
What did Kanye West say about Renzo Rosso?

Kanye further talked about Demna, aka Demna Gvasalia, a renowned fashion designer. In 2009, Demna joined Renzo Rosso’s Maison Margiela, but he moved on to Louis Vuitton in 2013.
In his post, Ye claimed that Renzo tried to get Demna back to Maison Margiela, but he refused. Therefore, he appointed Glenn Martens as the new creative director. Glenn Martens was recently named the label’s creative director in January 2025.

More about Renzo Rosso
Renzo Rosso started his fashion label Diesel in 1978, specializing in denim clothing and styles.
Later, in the early 2000s, Rosso began investing in additional apparel designers and firms, establishing himself as a prominent participant in the fashion industry. Renzo bought a majority stake in Maison Margiela in 2002. In July 2008, Rosso acquired the bulk of Viktor & Rolf's stock.
Rosso's first acquisition was Staff International, which he secured in 2000. The expansion of OTB prompted the media to frequently compare Renzo to French businessmen Bernard Arnault and François Pinault, chairmen of the LVMH and Kering empires, respectively, which own several of the world's greatest luxury brands.
The group now has stakes in Diesel, Maison Margiela, Marni, Viktor & Rolf, Jil Sander, and Amiri, as well as Staff International and Brave Kid.
