Lana Del Rey has reportedly dismissed rumors about a one million dollar suit involving herself and the shapewear brand by Kim Kardashian, SKIMS. Word on the streets was that Kim Kardashian was suing the Summertime Sadness crooner for failing to disclose a sponsored post for the brand's Valentine’s Day collection.

By March 29, 2025, some news sites had published articles confirming the rumors. According to Pop Base on X, Lana Del Rey has stated that the rumors are false, and if any issues arose as a result of flouting guidelines, she and Kim Kardashian would resolve it as friends:

“This isn't happening. Not as far as either one of us knows. I don't know where this started; if it does have to happen because of guidelines- then we will handle it. But never an end to a friendship.”

Details of the rumors regarding Lana Del Rey’s Valentine’s Day campaign for SKIMS

Visuals for Lana Del Rey’s campaign for the SKIMS Valentine’s Day 2025 drop began making the rounds in January 2025. The singer and songwriter modeled some of the brand's bestsellers, including the Fits Everybody bodysuit, the Woven Shine dress, and the heart-print Sleep set.

In a statement, Lana expressed that she had been a fan of the brand since its inception. She added that the collaboration was a fun endeavor for her:

"I’ve been a big fan of Skims since the beginning, so being featured in their Valentine’s campaign is so exciting. Their collection is so pretty and dreamy, which made collaborating with Nadia on the creative so fun. I hope you love it as much as I do.”

The collection was launched for preview on January 17 and became available for purchase on January 23, 2025, on the brand website and at select retailers, including Harrods, Selfridges and Nordstrom.

Rumors had it that Lana Del Rey flouted Federal Trade Commission (FTC) rules by failing to add the “#ad” or “paid partnership” tag on her social media posts promoting the campaign and, as a result, “misled customers and damaged the credibility of SKIMS’ brand integrity.”

Reports also stated that Kim Kardashian didn’t buy the idea of the singer’s decision to leave her followers guessing and hit the latter with a one-million-dollar lawsuit. It would seem that such rumors are untrue.

The singer is set to headline the Coachella music festival in April and hold her UK and Ireland tour from June to July 2025.
