Kim Kardashian started SKIMS in September 2019

Kim Kardashian co-founded the shapewear and clothing business SKIMS on September 10, 2019, with Emma Grede and Jens Grede. The brand was valued at more than $4 billion in July 2023, and is known to advocate body positivity, diversity, and inclusive sizing.

The initial drop of SKIMS consisted of 36 pieces that included control top thongs, mesh bikini bottoms, full-length bodysuits, bralettes, push-up bras, sheer-sculpting slips, and more.

Over the years, SKIMS added more to its portfolio including swimwear and dresses. Recently, Kim Kardashian’s company launched an extensive Wedding Shop collection on March 20, 2025. It offered dresses, pants, bikinis, corset tops, midis, socks, and more.

The brand has featured prominent celebrities as the face of their different campaigns including Patrick Schwarzenegger, Abby Champion, BLACKPINK’s Rosé, Tate Mcrae, Sabrina Carpenter, and more. The brand’s products are sold from their eponymous website.
