Beyonce has made an impact on her fans with her latest perfume ad. Her latest campaign for Cé Lumière, her 2024 fragrance, has taken the internet by storm.
Clad in gold paint, the 42-year-old singer appeared in a new look in the perfume’s promotional video and images. With a wide-brimmed hat, a metallic corset bustier, and a high-waisted skirt, Beyonce easily caught her fans' eyes as she was featured against a minimalist white backdrop.
Take a look at the commercial below:
Another shot for the campaign saw her in a sculpted dress with gold opera gloves, gazing at the Cé Lumière bottle. The visuals garnered mixed reactions from netizens.
While some lauded the campaign as a display of elegance, others questioned the constant stream of product launches from Beyonce and the high price tag attached to the fragrance. The commercial for Cé Lumière arrived just as ticket sales for Beyonce’s Cowboy Carter tour kicked off.
Pop Base took to its X (formerly Twitter) handle to share the visuals from the fragrance's latest campaign, captioning,
"Beyoncé stuns for her perfume ‘CÉ LUMIÈRE.’"
Fans were quick to hype the post with their thoughts over the singer's appearance for the Cé Lumière ad. One such fan commented:
"Beyoncé radiates elegance and power, CÉ LUMIÈRE is pure perfection."
Other X users also weighed in on the comment section of the post. Below are what some of them had to remark:
"THE GOLDEN QUEEN", lauded a netizen.
"It’s gold, it’s gold, it’s gold, it’s gold, it’s solid gold BABY!", hyped another.
"Shakira did it better and first", a third drew a comparison.
"The iconic singer and fashion icon showcases her timeless beauty in the stunning campaign.", declared a fourth.
"Copies Shakira again.", criticized a fifth.
"Can she stun in a cé lumière discount code next", remarked an X user.
Beyonce also shared the commercial on her Instagram page
Taking to her official Instagram handle, Beyonce shared the brand new advertisement of Cé Lumière and captioned:
"Sweet like honey. #CELUMIERE"
Instagram users were quick to note the post. They started weighing on the comment section and sharing their remarks. Multiple netizens voiced concerns regarding the premium price of the fragrance, which is $160 for 50 ml of the perfume. Below are what some of them commented:
"Beyoncé… I’ve already purchased my ticket OK. Give me time to get my outfit together at least.", shared a netizen.
"Ask Ticketmaster for it… cause we don’t have it", remarked another.
"Beyoncé what you want me to tell my landlord girl? Have a little respect!", joked a third.
"You must got some bills due?? A tour and perfume?? We ain’t got it", joined in a fourth.
"Girl. After Ticketmaster?", echoed a fifth.
The timing of the Cé Lumière campaign also got attention due to another incident. Just hours before Beyonce’s post, news broke that a woman, who had accused her husband, Jay-Z, and rapper Diddy of sexual assault at an MTV party in 2000, had dropped a lawsuit.
