Air Jordan 10 "Steel" sneakers: MJ's comeback sneakers
The Air Jordan 10 "Steel" sneakers were designed while Michael Jordan was away from the game. He initially retired from basketball to try his hand at baseball. However, during the 1994-1995 season, Michael Jordan returned to basketball just in time to wear it on the court.
Speculations about the design have been floating around the sneaker world. Many say that the shoe will retain most of its design features, including the tumbled white leather upper and the black accents on the laces, collar, and tongue.
The sneakers' outsole will have a pattern similar to that of the laces. It will be complete with the Powder Blue Jumpman logo making an appearance. The stripes on the soles represent Michael Jordan's 10 career milestones.
The original shoes were designed with "featured full-length Air cushioning in the midsole and flex grooves for traction on the outsole".
The proof of this shoe's superiority was highlighted by Nike in their description of the shoe:
"Michael Jordan proved it with a 55-point onslaught in his first game back in New York City on March 28th, 1995—now known as the infamous “double nickel” game."
