The New Balance 1906A "Slate Grey/Rain cloud/Drift Red" sneakers are one of the latest colorways to come from New Balance in 2025. It is heavily inspired by the "Refined Future" design of the 1906D silhouette.
The New Balance 1906A "Slate Grey/Rain cloud/Drift Red" sneakers have an unfinished look. It has a raw, unpolished, and edgy style. Somehow the upper part of the sneakers resemble a skeleton that has been laid bare.
The upper is made of a combination of mesh and synthetic overlays. The extended panels on the upper feature different shades of grey.
According to the description on the official New Balance website, the shoes have
"...a sole unit featuring a combination of flexible ACTEVA LITE cushioning, shock absorbing N-ergy, and segmented ABZORB SBS pods at the heel. This hi-tech approach is also reflected in the 1906A’s upper design, which features open-holed mesh and a series of curvilinear synthetic overlays."
The only part where the Drift Red color can be seen is on the outsole of the shoes, giving the sneakers a bright pop of color. The outsole of the sneakers is made of rubber.
These sneakers are unisex and are available on the New Balance website for both men and women. The sizes for men range from M4 to M13 and it goes from W5.5 to W15.5 for women.
