Coach has announced a multi-year partnership with the Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA). The luxury fashion brand shared the news via Instagram on April 14, 2025, with a montage showing the iconic coach bag silhouette on a basketball court. The video was captioned:
“Coach is now an official partner of the WNBA. Championing courageous self-expression, on and off the court.#CourageToBeReal #CoachxWNBA.”
The announcement was met with positive reactions from fashionistas and athletes alike, who expressed excitement about the intersection of fashion and sports. Coach also shared pictures from the WNBA 2025 draft’s orange carpet presented by the brand.
The event, which was held on April 14, 2025, at The Shed in New York City, saw some WNBA rookies like Paige Bueckers dressed in a sparkly oversized suit accented by a black Coach bag. Aneesah Morrow looked stylish in a strapless leather dress with a matching black Coach bag.
Hailey Van Lith also rocked her sparkly Little Black Dress with a Coach silhouette. Sonia Citron looked chic in a blazer dress, pointy-toed pumps, socks and a clutch Coach bag.
