Niall Horan has announced that he will be going on hiatus during his performance at the Movistar Arena in Bogota, Colombia Concert on October 9, 2024, the final gig of his 'The Show' tour. Niall Horan stated to the audience that he will return with a new album:

"This stands from tomorrow onwards, you’ll never find me. you'll never find me. I'm gonna be hungover as f*** tomorrow! And I'm gonna disappear for a while. I'm gonna make you guys a brand new album and I will be back, I promise."

Niall Horan has not elaborated on the new album or how long the hiatus will last. The singer later reflected on the tour and its last show in a social media post on October 11, 2024:

"Night Eighty-Seven Bogotá. The last night of The Show Live On Tour. The past 8 months have just been incredible. I’ll never be able to thank you all enough for what you’ve done for me. Every single one of you who came out to each show and made it all an unforgettable experience. Let’s do it all again sometime. Love you."

Niall Horan was on tour to support his third studio album

Niall Horan was on tour to support his studio album, The Show; the tour began on February 20, 2024, and concluded on October 9, 2024. The singer released the album The Show on June 9, 2023. The singer elaborated on the album in an exclusive interview with NME on April 8, 2023:

“When the pandemic was going on I just wrote down ‘The Show’ because it felt like we were on some sort of The Truman Show or in some weird reality. In September or October of that first year [of the pandemic] when I actually felt a tiny bit creative, I was like: ‘I should probably start writing’...”

Niall Horan continued,

“The last time I wrote an album I did less thinking. You don’t in your early 20s, you don’t think too much at all – well I didn’t anyway, probably just immaturity of me. But I think with pandemics and relationships and things like that, you subconsciously grow as a person."

Niall Horan added,

"And then production wise and what I’m saying [lyrically], it just sounds like something that a 30-year-old would release. Not a youthful version of what I did before."

The tracklist of the album is given below:

  • Heaven - 3:06
  • If You Leave Me - 2:59
  • Meltdown - 2:33
  • Never Grow Up - 3:29
  • The Show - 3:11
  • You Could Start a Cult - 3:20
  • Save My Life - 2:57
  • On a Night Like Tonight - 3:07
  • Science - 2:45
  • Must Be Love - 3:09

The album charted at the top spot on the UK album chart and on the Scottish, Kiwi, Polish, Irish, Dutch, Belgian, and other album charts. The album has so far been certified Silver in the UK.
