Internet users have gone berserk ever since rapper Kanye West, who is also known as Ye, posted on X asking President Donald Trump to free Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs. In a series of X posts, Kanye expressing his perspective on Combs' situation.

In one of his posts on X, dated February 7, 2025, Ye tagged Trump and wrote: "PLEASE FREE MY BROTHER PUFF." Combs was formerly known as Puffy, Puff Daddy, and P. Diddy.

His latest post indicated that he sent "someone" to the White House for the release of Sean Combs. His post on X read:

“WHAT SO YOU GET THE MAN WHO HAS EVERYTHING… A DIPSET CHAIN SPOKE TO JIM THIS MORNING AND HE SAID THE PEOPLE NEED TO HEAR ABOUT THE SCHOOL THEY SHUT DOWN THAT IM STARTING BACK UP. THEY NEED TO HEAR ABOUT THE DONDA BASKETBALL TEAM WE MADE THAT MULTIPLE PLAYERS HAVE NOW WENT TO THE NBA. THEY NEED TO SEE MY HEART. I SENT SOMEONE TO THE WHITEHOUSE TODAY TODAY TODAY TO START WORKING TOWARDS INSURING PUFFS SAFE RETURN HOME”

The American rapper Sean Combs is in jail at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, according to Wikipedia. He has been incarcerated on alleged s*x trafficking and racketeering charges, and awaits a criminal trial set to begin on May 5, 2025, according to New York Daily News published by MSN. Kanye West also slammed Hollywood celebrities for their silence on Diddy’s arrest.

Some users were shocked, and even suspected Kanye West has a connection with Sean Comb's case. Others slammed him for his support to the jailed rapper.

“Kanye really has gone insane, either that or he’s involved with all the Diddy stuff,” a user said.
"That’s not gonna happen! Ye and Diddy are in the same league," another added.
"We definitely need to look deeper into Kanye West now that he has made this request," a person wrote.

A user felt Donald Trump wouldn't agree to Ye's request at any point, given the nature of the crime.

“No no no. Crimes against children were never on the table for pardons. You can talk about pardons for a lot of things, cool. Crimes against kids, you gotta face the full consequences. Kanye should be investigated for suggesting this,” a user wrote.
“Not a Chance. It violates the Prime Directive!!” another user added.
"Trump would lose respect from about 75% of the country," someone said, if Trump agrees to Ye's will.

A section of social media users demanded evidence from Kanye West to prove Sean Combs was innocent.

“Sure, no problem bro. Deliver to us all the evidence, videos or whatever you have to prosecute all the pedophiles related to Diddy's shenanigans and we might consider it. Much love brother,” a user said.

Since his inauguration on January 20, 2025, President Donald Trump has issued pardons to almost 1,600 individuals convicted of federal criminal offenses, including the 2021 US Capitol riots, according to a report in BBC. Furthermore, he signed an order that directed the Department of Justice to drop all pending cases against suspects.
