Lil Uzi Vert recently revealed a new set of piercings on social media to his fans. The piercings run all over his face, with four around his lips, two on the bridge of his nose, two on his forehead, two each near his ears, two on either side of his nose, and one on his dimples each.
The singer's new piercings have generated considerable fan frenzy since their reveal, as exemplified by the tweet quoted and embedded below:
"Yall seen that movie Hellraiser?."
Other reactions were varied, with some critical of the rapper and his reveals, while others were more concerned by how he manages the piercings in the first place:
"does he take all of those out to take a shower? ain’t no way he’s washing his face and going around each single one and not accidentally pulling on one," one fan reacted.
"Sh*t be so funny cause lil Uzi doing something on par with his style and everything everyone in the comments bout confused like is this y’all first day?" another fan reacted.
"Lil Uzi Vert has a lot of money. He can get away with looking like this because he never (likely) has to worry about nobody wanting to hire him. Am I wrong? " one netizen questioned.
"Guess he's just trying to make sure he never loses a game of 'pin the tail on the rapper'!" another netizen stated.
"Really starting to think music outgrew him and he literally just cant evolve with whats coming out now days. He stuck making the same exact dam songs. He definitely thought Eternal take 2 was a hit, using that label excuse to cover it up," one reactor opined.
Lil Uzi Vert released his latest studio album in 2024
Lil Uzi Vert released his latest studio album, Eternal Atake 2, on November 1, 2024. The album is the singer's follow-up to his 2020 album, Eternal Atake, and the fourth studio album of his overall career.
The singer talked about his new album in an exclusive interview with Rolling Stone magazine that was published on November 1, 2024, talking about how he was musically in the right headspace, with Eternal Atake 2 coming out after Pink Tape:
"Yeah. I’m on go. I’m not even lying. They thought I was lying a few minutes ago. Now the tape is coming, everybody’s like, “You weren’t lying.” They swore I was lying. They were cursing me out."
Lil Uzi Vert later talked about the difference between the production process of the new album and the first Eternal Atake:
"That was different. That was different. I didn’t have a point to prove. Eternal Atake One, it makes so much sense, bro. It’s so crazy how it followed along. Eternal Atake One was the introduction of me going to a new realm. I went to a new realm, and everything was amazing. It was crazy. It was nice."
Lil Uzi Vert continued:
"Then I realized, “Wait, it’s too nice.” And I had to make myself uncomfortable real quick to realize what I used to realize before I was rich. And when I realized it, I was like, “Okay, back to square one musically.” Not bank account, but musically. So, back to square one musically with what you’ve got going on. Sounds like some sh*t."
Lil Uzi Vert's new album was relatively successful on the charts, peaking out within the top ten positions on the Billboard 200 album chart. The album, however, was not received well by critics, with many criticizing its weak writing.
