A lot of the events that are set to reportedly take place in Avengers: Doomsday will lay down their foundation in Thunderbolts*. With just a week left for its release, fans are already theorising everything the film will probably bring to the table and how it will set out a chain reaction of instances that will hold significance in Doomsday later on. Director Jake Schreier is opening up on all the ways Thunderbolts* will be tied to Avengers: Doomsday, and one of the ways the former story will link up with the latter is through Thunderbolts* antagonist, Sentry.
Although he didn't explicitly mention Sentry, the director did hint at him being a powerful influence in Avengers: Doomsday. Schreier told SFX,
"There might be some stones, or pebbles. I don’t know how you want to rate your rocks. Look, you know the character that we’re talking about, and you know that there’s a level of power involved there that could have an impact going forward. I'm not making Doomsday so I'm not privy to that."
In one of the teasers for Thunderbolts*, Sentry is described as being insanely strong:
"He's stronger than all the Avengers rolled into one"
It then adds that he will soon be known as
"Earth's mightiest hero"
More details on Sentry in Thunderbolts*

In Thunderbolts*, Sentry is being played by Lewis Pullman, with Sentry reportedly set to become one of the most important characters in the film. His character will most likely take center stage and be a major influence in the events, which will only continue to unfold as he goes on to star in Avengers: Doomsday.
Sentry is one of Marvel Comics' more recent superheroes. Having been created by Paul Jenkins and Jae Lee, it wasn't until 2000 that he first appeared in the comics. As portrayed on the page, Sentry's alias is Bob Reynolds, who is a middle-aged guy with no recollection of Sentry. Reynolds erases everyone's memory, including his own, so the world has forgotten about the superhero, who possesses the power of a million bursting suns. He took such action since Sentry's divided personality is also his arch-enemy, Void. The details of Sentry's plotline are a little complicated, but it will certainly be interesting to see how the MCU pulls it off.
Sentry's powers come from the Golden Sentry Serum. This serum is a hundred thousand times more potent than anything else and gives him immense strength and power.
The question remains: how are the Thunderbolts* going to face off against this new adversary? It seems like only time will tell.
Thunderbolts* will be in theaters on May 1, 2025.
