Chris Evans rumored to play a villain in Avengers: Doomsday?
After Evans' confirmation as a cast member in Avengers: Doomsday, fans expected to see him as Captain America or Human Torch in the movie. However, the Russo Brothers seem to have a new role for the former Cap, which is not heroic.
Chris Evans is rumored to play Hydra Captain America in the new Avengers movie. According to Marvel Comics, Steve Rogers has an alternate villainous version, an agent of Hydra, and might appear as a secondary antagonist to Downey's Doomsday.
Hydra Captain America belonged to Earth-61311 and fought to maintain Hydra's control over the world. However, during a multiversal reality warp, he got transported to Earth-616, where he masqueraded as Captain America.
While Cap defeated him, it could be possible that the Russo brothers introduced this or a similar villainous version of Captain America, possibly hailing from the same universe as Doom, who would be an ally and fight against the Avengers.
Can Avengers: Doomsday introduce a team of evil Avengers?
After Evans' villainous role is rumored in Avengers: Doomsday, fans speculate which other Avengers could be introduced along with Doom and Hydra.

But, if this speculation is true, then the new Avengers movie will give the original cast members, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, and Mark Ruffalo, a chance to play their evil counterparts.
This powerful team of evil Avengers, who resemble the Earth's greatest heroes, would be Doom's army, and would make a strong team against the new Avengers.
