There is plenty of chatter among fans regarding the new Venom: The Last Dance trailer, particularly the introduction of Knull, the ancient god of symbiotes. However, these fans are caught off guard, and according to Reddit user Princecuse13, the surprise is summed up as,

"Wild to be getting Knull already."

It drives home just how shocking this character's introduction is to what everyone assumed would be a simple wrap-up to the trilogy.

With Eddie Brock and Venom preparing for their grand finale, this shocker of a villain can suddenly ruffle up things at a whole different level, having fans super excited and waiting for what is to come next. Venom: The Last Dance, coming to theaters on October 25, is the last movie in the trilogy, with Tom Hardy returning as Eddie Brock.

Fans jumped into online forums like Reddit immediately to discuss thoughts on who the character is, asking what role he'll play in the movie and how faithful he will be to the comics. Knull's appearance in Venom: The Last Dance trailer has sparked mixed emotions amongst the fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Some folks, such as Luke_Oasis, have even started speculating about what role Knull might have in the movie:

"Calling it now, Knull in this movie is just going to be in his evil space lair sending some evil symbiotes to go after Venom."

This theory fits well with the quick look we got at Knull in the trailer. It is getting fans buzzing over whether he will be a major player or merely lurking in the shadows, pulling the strings. While most are excited, a few fans are worried.

JonathanL73 commented that one wonders what Knull looks like and wants him to look like what is seen within the comics:

"Is Knull human or an alien? Why does he look like a person and not a black goo monster?"

No-Breadfruit-7262 shared the same sentiments:

"They better not butcher Knull."

Knull, as of late, is a relatively new character in the Marvel comics but very powerful, so fans are looking forward to his appearance in the film.

Youngsimba_92 shared their excitement about Knull being included:

"Sick! I was thinking they dropped the ball with Knull, and how could they not have done this? Glad to see they’ve gone for it."

This shows many fans are now more than hyped about how the filmmakers are doing things. That surely ups the stakes for the big confrontation in Venom: The Last Dance.

Knull's appearance has also sparked fan speculation about possible future Marvel crossovers, and the most exciting theory comes from a Reddit user:

"I pray to god this leads into a Sinister Six team-up movie with Jared Leto Morbius and Knull as the big bad."

But, as fans have clamored for a Sinister Six movie with Knull as the head villain, his role in Venom: The Last Dance may portend more connecting films in the Sony-Marvel universe.

The Venom: The Last Dance trailer gives us a glimpse into Knull, and fans are curious about how much he is in the movie. A lot of people are hoping that this last Venom flick will link other Marvel characters and movies into a bigger and more interesting story about Knull's threat to the universe.

Among all of this hype, however, some fans are a bit apprehensive in terms of how Knull is going to appear. In the comics, he is portrayed as the god of the symbiotes and has a creepy look about him. People are already noticing that, in the trailer, he seems more human than monstrous, and they're questioning why that is.

Some are worried it might "butcher" the character if it goes too far away from the original story. Still, bringing Knull into the mix looks like a rather bold move by the filmmakers, and a lot of fans feel it would make Venom: The Last Dance one of the standout films in the Marvel lineup.

Venom: The Last Dance will hit the theaters on October 25, and will see how Eddie Brock and Venom will face one of the toughest villains from Marvel's ranks.
