The Karate Kid is returning for a second film after the massive success of the first film that followed Dre Parker as he attempted to escape bullying in school and woo the girl he likes- all with the help of karate.
Fans of the film were delighted to see that the sequel brings back Jackie Chan's character Mr. Han. And although the film will most likely feature a lot of the old characters, two key characters seem to be missing from the sequel.
Karate Kid: Legends will revolve around Li Fong, a karate prodigy who finds himself in a new place, much like Parker in the first film. As he navigates through his new life, he embraces his past and gets into karate again, with help from Chan's Mr. Han and Daniel LaRusso.
Fans, however, are pointing out that two main characters from the first film- Dre Parker and Johnny Lawrence don't make an appearance in the film. Many have pointed out that both the characters are crucial to the plot and to Han and LaRusso's lives.
That automatically means they deserve a spot in the film, even if it's a minor one.
In the original film, LaRusso and Lawrence were rivals and competed against each other, and fans hoped that they would make a comeback in the sequel Karate Kid: Legends. As of now, the studio has not confirmed if any of the characters will make a comeback, but fans are still keeping their hopes up.
