Drake and Future were reportedly involved in a beef as part of a larger feud between the former and Kendrick Lamar. The beef erupted after Future and Metro Boomin' released their album We Don't Trust You, on March 22, 2024. The album featured Kendrick Lamar's song Like That, which is a diss track targeted at Drake and J Cole.

This led to a feud that soured the relationship between the Canadian rapper and Future. However, in the latest episode of The Bigger Picture, journalist Elliot Wilson claimed that the two rappers have patched up their relationship and ended their feud. Wilson stated:

"I have it on good authority that Drake and Future have at least gotten on the phone and resolved their differences. I think that helped the energy when Future reposted [Young Thug's Tweet]. There’s no trust there still with Metro, but I do believe that Drake and Future are back on the same page."

Wilson continued:

"Obviously we know that Drake and Future have so much history. Drake was the one saying, ‘We never really went through it.’ [Future] got the lightest of all the taps in the one v. 20, so it makes sense in some capacity.”

Drake and Future collaborated before their feud

The two started collaborating in 2011, with Drake remixing Future's Tony Montana. This was followed by their collaboration with Lil Wayne's song Love Me. The song was produced by Mike Will Made It and was part of the album I Am Not a Human Being II.

In December 2013, the former remixed Future's track Sh!t. They then collaborated with rapper Preme on the track DnF in 2014. The track was released as part of the album Dear America.

The two also collaborated on the Jungle tour in 2015. Soon after, the duo collaborated on the latter's album DS2, specifically on the single Where Ya At. Later in the same year, the duo performed together at the OVO Fest and then they were spotted hanging out in Atlanta.

They subsequently collaborated on the mixtape, What a Time to Be Alive, on September 20, 2015. The mixtape charted at the top spot on the Billboard 200 album chart as well as the Canadian album chart.

The mixtape also charted at number 8 on the Kiwi album chart and at number 6 on the UK album chart. After its release, the mixtape received a multi-platinum certification in Canada and a platinum certification in the US.

They went on to collaborate on the track Grammys from the project Views in 2016. They came together for the Summer Sixteen Tour in the same year. The tour started on July 20, 2016, and ended on October 8, 2016.

The Canadian rapper and Future then collaborated on the track Used To This in 2017. The track was part of the streaming version of the album Future. The duo further collaborated on the track Life Is Good, which was released on High Off Life. They also collaborated on the tracks Desires and D4L.

Future last collaborated with the rapper on the latter's album I Never Liked You. The former appeared on the album's tracks I'm On One and Wait For U. The latter won the Grammy Award for Best Melodic Rap Performance.
