WWE star Seth Rollins might be a possible character in Captain America: Brave New World. There have been rumors that his scenes will be removed, despite his confirmation of his role in the movie.
Wrestlers turning actors for superhero flicks is nothing new. Roddy Piper and Hulk Hogan made their debuts in the 1980s. Since then, we have seen John Cena in The Suicide Squad and his Peacemaker series, Dave Bautista become Drax the Destroyer, and Dwayne Johnson in Black Adam.

It seemed like Rollins was following in the footsteps of Captain America: Brave New World. The movie is one of the first films in MCU Phase Five, where Anthony Mackie will play the role of Captain America, a role he has inherited from Chris Evans' Steve Rogers.
While Rollins was reported to join the film's cast in an 'undisclosed role', and there was footage of the wrestler in costume for the movie, conflicting news says otherwise. Here is everything we know about Seth Rollin's possible role in Captain America: Brave New World.
Is Seth Rollins a part of Captain America: Brave New World?
Seth Rollins was reported to have joined the movie's cast and shot scenes. Unofficial footage of Rollins in costume was released, which can possibly be linked to the movie. The official Wikipedia page for the film also lists Rollins as a cast member in an undisclosed role.
In October 2023, Rollins confirmed his participation in Captain America: Brave New World in an interview with Last Meals,
''It was a really good experience and I think it’s going to be pretty cool. I think [the WWE] audience is going to love it. I think their audience is going to love it, so it was a cool crossover to be able to jump into some totally different skin and try a new thing out for me.”
However, suspicions about Rollins' character in the movie arose after news surfaced in January 2024 about his scenes getting removed. Further, it was revealed that the crew is doing reshoots in Atlanta in May 2024, further fuelling these rumors.
While there is no official news about Rollins being cut off from Captain America: Brave New World, it is best to believe he will be a part of the movie (as written on its official Wiki page).
What character could Seth Rollins play in Captain America: Brave New World?
Based on the unofficial footage from the sets, Rollins might play the character of King Cobra in the movie. The character was written by Stan Lee and artist Don Heck. When an experimental venom combined with a bite from a radioactive cobra, this supervillain was formed.
This gave him immense powers and turned him into a supervillain. He is a mercenary to the Serpent Squad. Earlier at Comic-Con in July, Giancarlo Esposito was introduced as the king of the Serpent Society.
