As I Lay Dying consisted of Tim Lambesis as well as Ryan Neff, Ken Susi and Nick Pierce. The three members had joined the band as its latest lineup after Lambesis was released from prison in 2022. Now, however, the three members have quit the band, citing "Personal Morals".
Ryan Neff announced his exit from As I Lay Dying on October 19, 2024, stating in a Instagram page post:
"As of today, I have made the decision to leave As I Lay Dying. This choice comes after much reflection, and I believe it is the right step for my personal and professional journey. I am grateful for the experiences and connections I’ve made during my time with the band. Thank you to all the fans for your support."

Ken Susi and Nick Pierce both also announced their own exits from As I Lay Dying. Susi stated in his own statement on Instagram on October 24, 2024:
"My time playing with As I Lay Dying has come to an end today. I leave with so much gratitude for everyone who followed and supported me from my days in Unearth to this era of my career. I jumped into the AILD camp with full knowledge of the heightened dramatic history but had a drive to just play great music with great friends."
The former band member continued:
"Unfortunately, my personal morals have recently been tested to a breaking point, and it's now the saddest ending to what could have been the greatest second chance for this band."
Susi went on to defend Ryan Neff and his decision to quit the band, stating that he regretted not coming forward sooner and supporting Neff. He finished the statement by adding that he would miss all the fans and that he was looking forward to seeing them on his next project.
Nick Pierce also announced his decision to leave As I Lay Dying on an Instagram page on October 24, 2024:
"As of now, I am no longer playing drums for As I Lay Dying. This is far from being the ending I anticipated, and I feel I need to distance myself from the band in an effort to retain my personal health and integrity.want to express my deepest gratitude to everyone who followed and supported me throughout this journey."
Pierce went on to state that his goal is to create unforgettable music and that he was looking forward to continuing his drumming career, and that he was open to new oppurtunities.
