Jonah Platt slams Rachel Zegler in a heated social media post
Jonah Platt has recently slammed the lead actress of Disney's live-action remake, Snow White, in a now-deleted Instagram comment. He made the comment in defense of his father, who flew to New York City in August to ask the actress to remove a “free Palestine” comment that she made on X during the film’s promotional phase.
The incident stemmed from a social media user commenting on his father’s actions, calling them “creepy.” He said:
"Your dad flew to NYC to reprimand a young actress? Any words on this? Cuz that's creepy as hell and uncalled for. People have the right to free speech no? Shame on your father."

In his fiery reply, Platt said:
"You really want to do this? Yeah, my dad, the producer of the enormous piece of Disney IP with hundreds of millions of dollars on the line, had to leave his family to fly across the country to reprimand his 20-year-old employee for dragging her personal politics into the middle of promoting the movie for which she signed a multi-million dollar contract to get paid and do publicly for."

He accused Zegler of negatively impacting the film's box office performance by intertwining her personal political views with its promotion. He specifically referred to the “Free Palestine” post and other controversial remarks about Donald Trump, calling them as distractions that “hijacked” the conversation around the movie.
"Free speech does not mean you're allowed to say whatever you want in your private employment without repercussions. Tens of thousands of people worked on that film and she hijacked the conversation for her own immature desires at the risk of the colleagues and crew and blue collar workers who depend on that movie to be successful. Narcissism is not something to be coddled or encouraged."
According to Mirror, the Disney actress is known for her outspoken support of Palestine. Recently, her co-star Gal Gadot received death threats over pro-Israeli comments, which prompted her to increase security.
