Former Impractical Jokers star Joe Gatto has responded after he was accused of se*xual misconduct by a woman on TikTok.

The comedian denied the allegations and released a statement as stated in a report in Variety. The 48-year-old said:

“I have used poor judgment and as a result have violated the trust of the people I love most. But anyone who knows me at all knows full well that I wouldn’t assault anyone. Working on myself is an ongoing process, and I am now going to take some time away from the public eye to focus my energies where I need to.”

Gatto was one of the founding members of the hit show Impractical Jokers, alongside James Murray, Brian Quinn, and Sal Vulcano. According to Variety, the show started airing in 2011, but he left in 2021 in the wake of the separation from his wife, Bessy Gatto. However, the pair reconciled in 2023, as per a report in The Independent.

According to People magazine, she is the co-founder of the Non-Profit organization Gatto Pups and Friends along with her husband. She has a passion for rescuing dogs and occasionally hosts fundraising events for the animals, as reflected on Joe Gatto’s Instagram.

“Ten years ago when we started out, I could have never imagined the absolute crazy ride with highs and lows our marriage has endured,” the comedian wrote.
