Halsey and Avan Jogia have announced their engagement. The singer confirmed that she hopes the two will be married soon, exclusively in response to E! News correspondent Will Marfuggi's question on the red carpet at the 2024 MTV VMAs red carpet on September 11, 2024. The singer said,
"I hope so. Avan is the best. He's one of the greatest things that ever happened to me. And every single day that I get to spend with him is one where I just feel like I'm with my best friend."
The singer also revealed that her 3-year-old son Ender, whom she shares with her ex Alev Aydin, also got along with Avan Jogia. Halsey recently commented on Jogia's photo post on Instagram with the proclamation, "Mine!":

Avan Jogia is a Canadian actor best known for his features in Victorious, the teen drama Twisted, Ghost Wars, Now Apocalypse, The Stranger, and Orphan Black: Echoes, among others. The actor also had a recurring role in the science fiction series Caprica, a spin-off series to the 2003 Battlestar Galactica reboot.
The actor has also appeared in films such as Zombieland: Double Tap, Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City, and Johnny & Clyde. Avan is 32 and has previously dated Zoey Deutch and Cleopatra Coleman.
Avan Tudor Jogia was born in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. He is the son of Mike and Wendy Jogia and is of British Indian and Gujarati descent from his father's side and English, German, and Welsh descent from his mother's side. Avan Jogia has an elder brother named Ketan, who is a music producer in London, UK.
Halsey elaborated on the duo's relationship in an appearance on the SheMD podcast on August 13, 2024, stating:
"I'm in a relationship and its been exceptional..I think having you know the right fit of a romantic relationship you know cuz sometimes it's not anyone's fault sometimes it's just not the right fit um and we're the right fit and you know because of that he I think has the ability to really show up in a way that has given me so much healing you know -"
The singer continued:
"and has made me like be able to accept myself and allow me to say when I don't feel well or when I don't want to do something or you know to be like "hey I know we were supposed to go to brunch do you want to go sit in a doctor's office for 3 hours instead they have candy"
Halsey and Avan Jogia were first spotted together in Barcelona, Spain, in 2023, followed by further appearances in Los Angeles, US. In 2024, they attended a Lakers Game on January 5, 2024, followed by his birthday celebration in February, where Halsey posted an Instagram tribute to him, sharing their images taken over the previous months.
The duo attended their first red carpet event on April 2, 2024, the premier of the Dev Patel film Monkey Man. This was followed by engagement rumors in July 2024, when they were spotted in New York City having a picnic together, with Halsey sporting a new ring on her left ring finger.
