You're Cordially Invited is primarily shot in Georgia, United States. The shooting began in May 2023 in Atlanta and it was shot in different locations of Georgia.

1) Greensboro, Georgia

Almost the entirety of the film is set in a big estate which is situated near a lake in Greensboro. This is the place where the daughter of Jim (played by Will Ferrell) and Margot's (Reese Witherspoon) sister are about to get there. Due to some confusion, both these weddings have been booked in one location. As per The Direct, the location is situated near Lake Oconee. Greensboro is between Augusta and Atlanta and is the go-to place in the region for weddings.

2) Sandy Creek Barn

Several sequences in the film take place at the Sandy Creek Barn, which is situated on Lake Oconee. Both parties perform dances and dinners in this location in the film. The film is penned and helmed by Nicholas Stoller. Will Ferrell and Reese Witherspoon, who star in the film, are also the producers along with Stoller, Conor Welch, Jessica Elbaum, and Lauren Neustadter. It was released on January 30, 2025, on Amazon Prime Video.

Talking to Jimmy Fallon about how she got the film, Witherspoon said:

“Nick Stoller, who wrote the movie, he did ‘Neighbors’ and ‘Forgetting Sarah Marshall.’ He called me, and he was like, ‘So, I have this movie, and it’s starring Will Ferrell—’ and I was like, ‘I’m in."

The actress also recalled her first meeting with Farrell on the SNL set:

“The first time I met Will, and the only time I’d ever worked with Will [was] in 2001 when I hosted ‘SNL.’”
