Netflix's latest Christmas rom-com, Our Little Secret, starring Lindsay Lohan, had its premiere on November 27, 2024. She has played her part (Avery) in this holiday drama alongside co-star Ian Harding (Logan).
The story revolves around two ex-lovers, Avery and Logan, who, after running into each other at Christmas, eventually learn that their present partners are siblings (Cam and Cassie). Consequently, they end up spending the holiday with each others' families.
Our Little Secret began production in January 2024, with principal photography in Atlanta, Georgia. Filming was wrapped up by February 2024, and a soundstage was used to shoot most of the sequences.
Our Little Secret is included in a two-film deal between star Lindsay Lohan and Netflix. She is also known to have been featured in the 2022 holiday movie Falling For Christmas, where she played a spoiled hotel heiress suffering from amnesia. Moreover, Irish Wish was released earlier this year, and Lohan also played a key role in it.
What are the filming locations of Our Little Secret?
Our Little Secret was mainly filmed in Atlanta, Georgia. Director Stephen Herek used Northside United Methodist Church and the Atlanta Metro Area to shoot key sequences. Moreover, an unknown soundstage was used to take most of the shots.
1. Northside United Methodist Church, Atlanta, Georgia
A pivotal sequence was shot at the Northside United Methodist Church, Atlanta, Georgia, where we see ex-lovers Avery and Logan making a deal. As part of it, Logan will assist Avery in making things better with Erica (Kristin Chenoweth), Cam, and Cassie's mother.
In return, Avery will guide Logan in writing a construction proposal. Later at the church, Avery goes up to read something for the service, but as she is too high (because of mistaking THC gummies as normal ones before), she ends up using lines from Kool & The Gang's "Celebration."
The choir starts singing the famous song, followed by other attendees joining. All these sequences were shot at the Methodist Church in Atlanta, which, as per reports, was established in 1950.
2. Atlanta Metro Area
Many Christmas sequences in Our Little Secret were shot in the Atlanta Metro Area. In one of the scenes, we see Avery and Logan hanging out outdoors with their partners, Cam and Cassie.
We see them buying Secret Santa presents and celebrating at a pub. All these shots were taken in the somewhat crowded Metro Area of Atlanta. Moreover, Erica's family house is also located in the Buckhead/Chastain area of Atlanta, but only exterior shots are used in the movie.
The production team replicated the house's front door and patio for key scenes. The indoor sequences were done somewhere else.
3. Unknown sound stage
Director Stephen Herek has shot most of the sequences for Our Little Secret using an unnamed sound stage. This practice is common in movies and TV shows where production teams prepare sets according to the story's needs.
Star Lohan has shared her on-set experience in an interview with ExtraTV, saying:
"We were on a sound stage a lot, which was really fun. It’s great. It creates such a different atmosphere of structure and getting to know people. Besides eating together, we would all get different trucks to come for everyone and the crew... It becomes your little family and your little world there."
