Travis Barker's daughter Alabama Barker was recently rushed to the hospital after facing nicotine withdrawal, according to a new report by TMZ on December 30, 2024. The 19-year-old called the emergency number 911 after facing withdrawal symptoms from having abruptly quit smoking vapes.

According to the report, Alabama was rushed to the local hospital, where she was given a clean bill of health and told that she was facing nicotine withdrawal. Alabama had quit smoking vapes to protect her vocal cords, following advice given to her by music industry personnel.

Travis Barker's daughter is reportedly pursuing a career as a musician and therefore felt the need to quit smoking to protect her cords. However, completely quitting all at once generally results in symptoms of nicotine withdrawal.

According to the official medical website of the CDC in the US as well as other medical sites such as Web MD and Cleveland Clinic, nicotine withdrawal has the following symptoms:

• Cravings for smoking: In the immediate period after a person quits smoking, they will encounter the urge to resume smoking again. Cravings are triggered by secondary habits and thoughts associated with smoking.
• Mood Swings - nicotine withdrawal causes mood swings, such as people becoming more irritable or upset easily. This is combined with restlessness and a feeling of jumpiness. This is especially true for people who quit smoking but continue with other stimulants such as tea, coffee, and so on
• Anxiety and depression: People who quit smoking and are facing nicotine withdrawal generally see an increase in their anxiety. If they have depression, it can worsen due to the symptoms of nicotine withdrawal
• Appetite: After quitting smoking, people witness increased appetite. This is because nicotine suppresses appetite and as the nicotine leaves the system, the appetite is regained. Due to the appetite increase, some people may also experience weight gain.
• Lack of concentration and exhaustion: nicotine withdrawal causes a lack of concentration and focus as well as exhaustion. Some people may also see signs of insomnia as a result.

Nicotine withdrawal symptoms generally last from hours to upwards of weeks, depending on the severity of symptoms. According to the TMZ report mentioned above, Travis Barker's daughter quit smoking nearly a month ago.

Alabama Barker celebrated her 19th birthday on December 24, 2024. Her father, Travis Barker, posted a heartfelt wish for her birthday on the same day on his official Instagram page, stating:
