Cowboy Carter tour is set to be held from April 28, 2025 to July 11, 2025 in venues across mainland United States and Canada. Cowboy Carter tour, being held by singer Beyoncé for her album of the same name, will starts its general onsale on February 14, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. local time, with presales starting on February 11, 2025.
However, third party resellers are already offering tickets ahead of the Cowboy Carter tour presales on February 11, 2025, essentially doing what Ticketmaster is calling in its warning to the public as speculating ticketing i.e., selling tickets that have not been released and thus cannot be valid, according to Ticketmaster's post on its blog on January 29, 2025:
"Speculative listing is when unofficial sellers list tickets for sale even though they do not actually have those tickets. They are betting (or speculating) that they will be able to get tickets and then resell them to fans. People claiming to sell these tickets are committing fraud and this practice is illegal in many states."
Live Nation Entertainment Corporate and Regulatory affairs executive, Daniel Wall, also commented on the matter, stating to ABC 7 Chicago:
"If you just take the artist and put a Google search for tickets to that show, you will see that there are ticket listings on a number of resale sites, not Ticketmaster, but a lot of resale sites that are telling you that they already have tickets that they can sell you... and they don't."
Wall added:
"You're taking a big risk, there's no way that that site can deliver the tickets that you think you're going to get. The idea behind it is that between the time that you buy those tickets at a very high price, and the show, they're going to try to cover you with something sort of close to what you bought. Never what you thought you were buying, but something that is close to it."
