Kendrick Lamar performed at the Super Bowl halftime show at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana, on February 9, 2025. The halftime performance was during the match between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles.
The singer appeared at the performance in a combination of casual and chic clothing, including an 'A' chain, which could be a probable reference to the singer's line from the track Not Like Us:
"Why you trollin' like a b**h? Ain't you tired?/ Tryna strike a chord and it's probably A-minor."
Alternatively, the 'A' chain is also the symbol of Lamar's company Plang, which he founded in collaboration with Dave Free. The production company was founded in 2020 and has gained significant critical acclaim since its foundation.
Alongside the 'A' chain, the singer sported a blue (sapphire) jacket that spells out the words 'Gloria,' which is likely a reference to the track of the same name on his new album GNX. He wore flare jeans, a backward hat, and sneakers, as well as a diamond brooch from Rahaminov estimated to cost $68,000.

The singer talked about his performance and related details in an exclusive interview with Apple Music on February 6, 2025, before his Super Bowl performance, stating his reply on the topic of whether he had thought he would get to perform at the Super Bowl and how it felt to be the first solo rap performer to perform at the Super Bowl halftime:
"The passion I have now is still the passion I had then. I think that carried on to the Super Bowl. It's all about being present. As long as I was present in the studio and present in whatever that line was or mistake was, rapping or doing hooks or choruses, if I was present in that moment, I felt that passion."
Kendrick Lamar continued:
"I think being present and not actually foreseeing everything kept me in a grounded state of mind in order to be in big stages like this. It makes me think about the grind of it. A lot of people don't see the story before the glory..."
Kendrick Lamar also talked about the thought process behind his Super Bowl setlist:
"I love being present. It's very hard for me to live in the past. I respect the past wholeheartedly. But being in the now and just being locked in to how I feel and the energy I have now. That's the L.A. energy for me. That's something that I want to carry over to New Orleans and for the world to see..."
Kendrick Lamar is next set to tour across North America with SZA on the duo's 'Grand National' Tour from April 19, 2025, to June 18, 2025, in venues across cities such as Philadelphia, Los Angeles, and Toronto, among others.
