Rod Wave was set to perform at the Golden 1 Center in Downtown Sacramento on October 25, 2024, as part of his Last Lap tour. However, the concert was postponed after a firecracker incident led to a gun-related security scare and caused three people to be injured.

The Golden 1 Center announced the cancelation of their tour via a general press release on October 25, 2024, stating:

"Due to no fault of the artist or promoter, Golden 1 Center has had to postpone the Rod Wave Show that was rescheduled for tonight because of staffing issues,. The tour will announce the rescheduled date. All tickets will be honored. Guests seeking refunds can do so at their original point of purchase."

Rod Wave postponed his Last Lap tour

A few days ago, Rod Wave postponed his tour due to scheduling issues. The tour postponement was announced via a press statement on October 21, 2024:

"Due to unexpected production issues beyond our control, we are deeply sorry to announce the postponement of tonight’s sold-out Rod Wave ‘Last Lap’ show in Los Angeles. The event has been rescheduled for Monday, October 28, 2024. Unfortunately, these production issues have impacted the entire tour schedule, with Oakland being postponed as well..."

The statement continued:

"As you can imagine, Rod Wave was excited to see his fans and eager to perform, and is looking forward to hitting the stage on the upcoming dates. We greatly appreciate your understanding and continued support."
