Eleazar's character, Kat, comes face-to-face with her fiance, who had ghosted her a decade ago, and as expected, the reappearance of Josh and Clint's murder is linked. With Josh's comeback came all of the lies and deceits that were circling Clint's murder. The involvement of higher-ups like DCI Ellis Stagger(Richard Armitage) made the case more twisted.

As Kat advances on her probes, she discovers details about her father's complicated life, of which she was unaware. She finds out that her father, a well-respected police officer, was apparently involved in corruption. Always regarded as an exemplary law enforcement officer was now shrouded with allegations of cheating and dishonesty.

Furthermore, after confronting her senior DCI Ellis Stagger, she learns that he was responsible for curating a forced confession from Monte Leburne, the man who was initially believed to have murdered Clint Donovan. He planted all the evidence, including the murder weapon, in Leburne's home, framing him for murder. It was easier for him to convict Leburne as he had already committed two murders.

Who killed Clint Donavan?

In the thriller series Missing You, it is revealed at last that the killer of Kat's father was her fiance, Josh. However, it is eventually revealed that Josh did not intend to kill Clint. It all happened during an altercation when Josh tried to save Aqua from Clint's attack. All of this started when Aqua asked Clint to reveal his sexual orientation to his family, infuriating Clint, which resulted in him attacking her.

Stagger confesses to Kat that he did all of this to protect her and her mother, as it was Clint's last wish. Clint asked Stagger not to let his family know about the truth behind his death, burying everything with him.

At the end of Missing You, Kat finds herself in the middle of a quandary as she discovers the truths about her father--his relationship with Calligan and affair with Parker-- and that they were far from how she knew him. The viewers saw a man initially shown as an ideal father figure and a refined police officer change into a flawed and complicated human being. After the revelation of her father's true self, Josh's confession of self-imposed exile proves to be emotionally detrimental for Kat.
