Although Ronaldo himself has never set foot in filmmaking, the footballer has had several projects made about him, that reflect his lifelong resilience, strength and limitless brilliance on the field.

His sponsor Castrol produced the television film Ronaldo: Tested to the Limit later on, which covered his mental and physical strength as he continued being one of the best on the field. His physical performance drew global media attention upon the film's release in September 2011, as he rose even more to fame.

Cristiano Ronaldo: The World at His Feet was released via Vimeo in June 2014. It is a documentary narrated by actor Benedict Cumberbatch. Another documentary film directed by Anthony Wonke about his life and career, titled Ronaldo, was released on 9 November 2015.

Apart from an impressive array of documentaries, he also appears as a playable character in the 2025 fighting game Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves.

More about Matthew Vaughn

Given his stellar career in the film industry over the past few decades, Matthew Vaughn needs no introduction. Vaughn started out as a producer in the late 90s, working on two films that helped define British criminal cinema at the time: Snatch in 2000 which starred Brad Pitt and Jason Statham; and Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels in 1998, which starred Jason Statham and Jason Flemyng. Both the films earned him significant praise for his filmmaking, and continue to be two of his most beloved projects.

Later on Layer Cake, which was Vaughn's directing debut in 2004, developed his unique narrative approach, which was praised for his narration style, making him all the more relevant in the industry. He later directed the critically acclaimed X-Men: First Class in 2011, and the fantasy adventure Stardust in 2007. His most recent work was in Argylle, that he directed and produced.

Along with his work in movies, Vaughn was a co-creator of the Kingsman comic book series, which eventually became a popular movie franchise. Kingsman: The Secret Service released in 2014, its follow-up Kingsman: The Golden Circle released in 2017, and the prequel The King's Man released in 2021 were all directed, co-written, and produced by him, all of which added to his reputation for creatively fusing action, humor, and style.
