The Fear Street franchise is back with another addition to the slasher series and this time, things are getting gruesome in a high school full of popular girls who are aiming for the top spot. Joining the Fear Street franchise that's based on a book franchise of the same name by R. L. Stine, Fear Street: Prom Queen is based on the novel The Prom Queen by Stine. It's the fourth installment in the film series and is being released four years after the last three films which were a part of a trilogy.
Fear Street: Prom Queen is set against the backdrop of 1988's Shadyside High School where a group of girls are competing against each other to become the Prom Queen. Among them, one girl emerges as the top contender and things soon take a bloody turn as a masked killer joins the prom party.
The trailer starts off with a videocam film of prom preparations. Glitzy and glamorous dresses and sparks surround the air as the girls buckle up for one of the shiniest days of the year. Soon enough, one girl is being chased by a masked killer who chases her through hallways. We later see that he has the school yearbook with him which has photos of all the prom queens that have preceded the years.
India Fowler's character, Lori Granger, quickly discovers that several attendees have been absent from the event. She asks where all the prom queens are as bloody violence fills the screen.

Fear Street: Prom Queen will be available on Netflix on May 23, 2025.
