Exploring the shows and movies to stream on Hulu, September 7, 2024

1) Murai In Love

It was announced back in February that the Murai in Love anime would be coming to Disney+ this fall. But that's only true for Japan. In the US, Hulu will be the exclusive streaming home for the anime, based on Junta Shima's manga.

The anime premieres on October 6, 2024, in Japan, but it's already available on Disney+ in the region. In the US, the first episode is now available on Hulu.

The story is about a high school teacher named Tanaka who's into otome games. A student named Murai has feelings for Tanaka, and when he confesses his love, Tanaka turns him down because she's never been in a real relationship. However, things might take a turn when Murai transforms himself into a character from Tanaka's favorite game.

2) Tell Me Lies

The gripping new season of the series based on Carola Lovering's novel is here. Get ready for a mix of intrigue and emotional drama. The season starts with two episodes on Wednesday, September 4, 2024.

This season has eight episodes, two fewer than the first one. New episodes will be available on Hulu every Wednesday at 12:00 a.m. ET.

3) The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives

The streaming platform is launching a new series called The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, featuring Mormon women from TikTok who made headlines. The show follows a group of glamorous moms who are social media influencers. Their friendships and faith are tested when a viral TikTok scandal exposed a secret partner-swapping incident.

Catch the premiere of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives on Friday, September 6, 2024, only on Hulu. And, as a bonus, you can binge-watch all eight episodes of the season right away!

4) ‘Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes’ (2024)

The new Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes movie is set at a time when apes are in charge, and humans have to follow them. Caesar is like a legend; his followers have created a world ready to explode. The movie talks about leadership, believing in something, and asking questions.

It's a great next chapter in the story. The ending is one of the best in the series, and the whole movie looks amazing and keeps you on the edge of your seat. Directed by Wes Ball, the movie is 145 minutes long and is a perfect choice for the streaming platform viewers to enjoy their weekend with.

5) Immaculate

Immaculate is a horror movie about a young American nun who moves to a remote convent in Italy. As she settles in, she starts uncovering the dark secrets behind the convent's walls. The movie features Sydney Sweeney as the main character, along with Álvaro Morte, Benedetta Porcaroli, Dora Romano, Giorgio Colangeli, and Simona Tabasco.

Immaculate debuted at the 2024 South by Southwest festival, earning mostly positive reviews from critics, although some were mixed. The film's performances and premise have been praised. Interestingly, Immaculate is often compared to The First Omen, as both movies explore similar themes and were released around the same time.

Immaculate was made available to stream on Hulu on August 6, 2024, making it a perfect choice for your weekend.

All the shows and movies mentioned above are available to stream on Hulu.
