John Crowley directed We Live In Time is a romantic comedy film starring Andrew Garfield and Florence Pugh that has gained popularity among the audience shortly after its release on October 11, 2024 in selected theatres across the United States.
The crew had Benedict Cumberbatch as executive producer for a London-based organisation called SunnyMarch and the script has been written by Nick Payne in association with Studio Canal, who has handled the worldwide distribution.

The first screening of We Live In Time took place in the Toronto International Film Festival. The distribution rights across the United States has been acquired by A24.
With a star-studded cast, touch of romance and drama and a non-linear way of storytelling, the movie has reached out to the fans in a short time and excitement has peaked raising questions on who plays who in the Andrew Garfield and Florence Pugh movie.
One of the lead roles, Tobias Durand (an employee of Weetabix) has been played by Andrew Garfied (known for his work as Peter Parker in the Amazing Spiderman saga).
Alongside him we have Florence Pugh (recently seen working with Christopher Nolan in oscar-winning movie Oppenheimer) who has taken up the role of Almut, a Bavarian chef.
We Live In Time revolves around these two individuals as they develop feelings for each other, fall in love, hustle through their personal lives and end up starting a family against all odds.
Who is on the cast of We Live In Time?
(1) Florence Pugh (Almut Bruhl)
Florence Pugh has played the character of Almut Bruhl (one of the main roles) in We Live In Time. Almut was a skater in her initial years of career, but later, she follows her passion of being a chef.
As the movie progresses, we see Almut taking part in a notable cooking competition despite hindrances from her personal life and health conditions.
At the beginning of the story, we see Almut crossing paths with Tobias Durand (Andrew Garfield) as her car hits the latter by accident. Their story unravels from this point.
(2) Andrew Garfield (Tobias Durand)
The role of Tobias Durand (a Weetabix employee) in We Live In Time has been played by Andrew Garfield. Tobias meets Almut (Florence Pugh) when he was out on the road looking to buy a pen for signing the divorce papers given by his wife.
As Tobias was wandering around on the road, Almut's car accidentally hits him and he ends up at the hospital. With an emotional beginning to the encounter, Tobias gets involved with Amrut and their love story eventually starts developing.
Garfield will reportedly be seen working with co-star Julia Roberts in an upcoming thriller movie After The Hunt. Moreover, he is also an academy award nominee for his performance in Hacksaw Rigde.
(3) Adam James (Simon Maxson)
Adam James will be appearing on screen for We Live In Time as Simon Maxson. He is English by origin and has worked for several years in different shows and movies.
James has been seen playing parts in Band of Brothers, Doctor Who and Ashes to Ashes. He has played the part of Simon Maxson, Almut's colleague who later serves as her coach for the training of the prestigious cooking contest Bocuse d'Or.
Simon, though not a very big part of the movie, plays a major role in supporting Almut's career.
(4) The supporting cast of We Live In Time
Lee Braithwaite has played the part of Jade, the partner for Almut's cooking competition. Jade, the sous chef helps Almut take part in the contest and reach the end successfully.
Moreover, we see Lucy Briers from Pride and Prejudice playing the role of Dr. Kerrie Weaver, who helps Almut in her illlness. Douglas Hodge is seen appearing as Reginald,the father of Tobias Durand. Among others in the cast, we have:
