More about Untold: The Fall of Favre
The Green Bay Packers legend Brett Favre will be at the center of Untold: The Fall of Favre, and how his misconduct off the pitch reportedly led to several complications. Per Tudum, one such incident came to light involving former New York Jets official Jenn Sterger, who reportedly mentioned in a statement that she was harassed by the ex-NFL champion through text messages.
According to People Magazine, the matter was investigated in 2010, and no discordance of conduct was established concerning the NFL league policy. However, Brett later accepted his part in the case and was eventually imposed a fine of $50,000 on account of his rigidity towards the ongoing investigation.
Furthermore, Brett was reportedly involved in a welfare fund scam from which he benefited by thousands of dollars that were meant to be provided to needy households. The upcoming documentary will feature exclusive interviews from individuals who had an association with Brett's professional career, not to mention the portrayal of his image as a notorious three-time MVP in the National Football League.
To quote Jenn Sterger's words, as seen on the latest trailer by Netflix:
"Brett Favre ultimately destroyed my life."
She further added:
"I was at a game, and someone said Brett Favre wanted your phone number and I just kept saying no. I started getting text messages, and then I started getting voicemails when I was like, ‘Oh, I’m in serious trouble here.’"
According to Gitlitz's statement, per Tudum, Untold: The Fall of Favre will revisit the rise and fall of an NFL legend to prove the fact that an individual's success should never "be a shield for harmful behavior". As she further added, the docufilm will dive deep into the behavioral patterns of Brett Favre and how his reckless actions (not to mention the misconduct) affected those around him.
To quote her exact words, per Tudum:
"This story about one of the greatest quarterbacks in history goes beyond touchdowns and epic wins and lifts the lid on how, when fame rises, sometimes accountability falls. It was made with the intention of laying out patterns of behaviors, told by the people who lived with the consequences of Favre’s actions, to ask audiences to consider if success should be a shield for harmful behavior."
