Tyla will headline for Victoria's Secret Fashion Show return on October 15, 2024. The singer will be one of the members of an all-female music lineup and is the first to be announced as part of the return of the prestigious fashion show. In a press release, the singer elaborated on the collaboration with the fashion show, stating:

She added, "Now, I’m thrilled to be performing on this nostalgic and legendary stage. What’s even more exciting is the celebration of diversity, showcasing a broader range of beauty, which makes this moment truly special."
Alongside Tyla, Chappell Roan and her song Femininomenon has been featured on the promotional material of the show's return in 2024. It remains unclear if Roan will also perform at the actual event.
Victoria's Secret Fashion Show is returning for the first time since 2019. The news of the show's return was announced by Rolling Stone magazine in an exclusive feature on September 18, 2024. The show itself was announced via a post on Victoria's Secret Show's official Instagram page on May 14, 2024, with the announcement stating:
"We’ve read the comments and heard you. The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show is [sparkle emoji] BACK [sparkle emoji] and will reflect who we are today, plus everything you know and love—the glamour, runway, wings, musical entertainment, and more! Stay tuned…it only gets more iconic from here."
Tyla to perform alongside Cher and Lisa
The full lineup of the upcoming Victoria's Secret Fashion Show has been revealed and the all-female lineup consists of Tyla, Cher, and Lisa respectively. The three artists will perform at the first Victoria's Secret Show since 2019 when it was canceled due to low ratings.
Tyla's upcoming Victoria's Secret Fashion Show performance comes on the heels of the singer's recent win at the MTV Video Music Awards. The singer won the Best Afrobeats award, also titled the Moon Person award for her song Water, which was released as the lead single of her debut album Tyla. The single charted at number 4 on the UK singles chart upon release.
The singer stated in her acceptance speech at the award ceremony:
"The global impact that ‘Water’ has had on the world just proves that African music can be pop music, too. This is just so special, but also bittersweet because I know there’s a tendency to group all African artists under Afrobeats."
The singer continued:
"It’s a thing, and even though Afrobeats has run things and has opened so many doors for us, African music is so diverse. It’s more than just Afrobeats."
A brief overview of Tyla's career
The singer started her career with the single Getting Late, which was released on October 25, 2019. The single featured production by Kooldrink and propelled the singer to stardom.
Soon after her debut single, the singer contributed to the soundtrack of the show Blood & Water: Season 2. The Netflix-produced show featured her single Overdue, which featured DJ Lag and Kooldrink.
She then released her next single, Been Thinking, on January 27, 2023, followed by a collaborative single with Ayra Starr titled Girl Next Door, which was released on May 17, 2023. The singer released her debut album, Tyla, on March 22, 2024.
