As per reports, the list is a long one but some of the films, with their history of box office results, have secured top spots. Few of these movies have already released, while others are yet to hit the big screen.

1. Joker: Folie a Deux
DC character Joker (played by Joaquin Phoenix) returns to the big screen after a gap of five years. Todd Phillips, who had directed the first part in 2019, is again the man behind the lens for Joker: Folie a Deux (2024), which is probably the most anticipated and one of the must-see movies of October. 2. Terrifier 3
Damien Leone directed Terrifier 3 is going to break ground with its touch of horror and spooky development as Halloween is round the corner. As the horror saga unwraps, fans get ready to witness something unique as the holiday season nears.
With David Howard Thornton resuming his role as Art the Clown, Terrifier 3 has set the set the bar high as the franchies introduces Santa Claus in this terror filled homicidal piece. 3. Smile 2
As the spooky month advances, the horror genre will continue to dominate the big screen. One more addition to the list of must-see movies of October is Smile 2 by Parker Finn. Following the first movie's release in 2022, the Smile saga has been subject to a lot of discussion among fans.
As Sosie Bacon and Kyle Gallner continue their lead roles, we see the involvement of a well-know pop artist (played by Naomi Scott), with an unexplained smile that makes prophecies right before her death. As a sinister plot of the movie is somewhat showcased in the official trailer, viewers eagerly await October 18, 2024 for Smile 2 to be released.
4. Venom: The Last Dance
Besides Joker, Tom Hardy's Venom: The Last Dance is yet another comic-based film that has reportedly secured one of the top spots for must-see movies in the month of October.
The film is the directorial debut of Kely Marcel, where we see Eddie Brock and his anti-hero counterpart Venom face multiple threats from the authorities as well as alien forces. The movie will be released by Sony Pictures Entertainment on October 25, 2024.
5. Piece by Piece
In the second week of October, we will get to witness a breakthrough in the world of documentaries as Focus Features' Piece by Piece makes its way to big screen. Based on the life of American record producer Pharrell Williams, the movie has drawn a lot of attention from the viewers, thus making it another one of the must-see movies of October.
Lego Animation has been used in the film to cast Pharrell Williams as a narration of his life's story. Piece by Piece had earlier premiered at Telluride and Toronto FIlm Festivals and the final premiere will be at the London Film Festival.
