1) Black Panther (2018)
Black Panther was helmed by Ryan Coogler, who wrote it with Joe Robert Cole. The 18th film in the MCU is based on the Marvel superhero of the same name. It takes place on the planet of Wakanda, where the newly crowned king T'Challa (played by the late Chadwick Boseman) is at loggerheads with Killmonger. The film met with positive reviews and ended up grossing over a billion dollars.
Coogler returned with his sequel in 2022 with Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. The team had to rework the film after Boseman passed away in 2020. Just like the original film, the sequel also became a critical and commercial success.

2) Thunderbolts* (2025)
Thunderbolts* is the 36th entry in the MCU, and it's directed by Jake Schreier. The story is written by Eric Pearson, while the screenplay is by Pearson and Joanna Calo. It revolves around the namesake group of antiheroes who have to come together to stop Sentry. The film will be released theatrically on May 2, 2025, and it will conclude the fifth phase of the franchise. Prior to its release, the film has managed to receive an impressive rating on RT. It will conclude Phase Five.

3) Avengers: Endgame
Avengers: Endgame was a direct sequel to Avengers: Infinity War, which came out a year prior. Directed by the Russo brothers, the film showcases the surviving superheroes who try to save the world from Thanos, who had ensured the erasure of half of the universe's population. It culminated a story that was going on for more than a decade. Upon its release, the film received critical acclaim and grossed more than two billion dollars.

MCU continues to grow, and Phase Six will start with The Fantastic Four: First Steps. Two more films, Avengers: Doomsday and Secret Wars, will be concluding this phase. The latter will be released in 2027. Robert Downey Jr., who portrayed Iron Man/Tony Stark in the previous films, has been recast as Doctor Doom. This puts the entire timeline in an interesting position, and fans of the MCU are reportedly looking forward to the films.
