The movie tells the story of Mahito who after losing his mother is struggling with the loss. He relocates to the countryside with his father and stepmother where he encounters a talking heron. He embarks on a journey of self-discovery. The viewers of the movie enjoyed the movie’s intentionally ambiguous narrative, the vibrant visuals with intricate details, and profound emotional depth.
