Inspired by the works of Andrzej Sapkowski, The Witcher features the monster-hunting Geralt of Rivia in a magical, medieval fantasy world. Its show plots that were grounded in moral ambiguity, as well as the performances of Henry Cavill, struck many fans. Dark fantasy themes and action sequences laced with monsters quickly helped make the show one of Netflix's most-watched, as book readers as well as new fans of the series tuned into the fantasy epic.
