This is a documentary about the life and tragic death of one of Formula 1's best drivers, Ayrton Senna. Asif Kapadia directed the film; Senna, through archives and interviews, brings forth the Brazilian racer's inimitable talent, the intense rivalry with Alain Prost, and his deep spiritual beliefs. It is the high and the low of Senna's career that ended in a very untimely death at the 1994 San Marino Grand Prix. Praised for emotional depth and thrilling race sequences, Senna transcends sports documentaries with a deeply intimate portrait of a legend.
