James Cameron's romantic disaster drama film Titanic (1997) is based on a true event from 1912, when a large British ship, the RMS Titanic sank in the North Atlantic Ocean after hitting a giant iceberg. The movie revolves around the tragic love story of a nomadic artist Jack (Leonardo DiCaprio) and a rich girl named Rose (Kate Winslet), who met and fell in love while on board the Titanic.

Titanic has reportedly been a topic of discussion among fans, owing to the true story angle, stur-studded cast, action-packed drama and considerable amount of n*dity. Interestingly howover, the iconic portrait scene of Kate Winslet was supposed to be a bit different than shown in the film.

As per reports, DiCaprio's famous line, "Lie on that bed, uh I mean couch", was originally scripted as "Lie on that couch". However, director Cameron had intentionally retained DiCaprio's slip in the script and surprisingly, it went on to become one of the most famous sequences ever.

DiCaprio made a dialogue error in the famous sketch scene of Titanic

The famous n*de sketch scene portraying DiCpario as the artist and Kate Winslet as the model have certain errors that viewers would not have known. In the scene, Jack is seen waiting in a room for Rose so that he can sketch her.

As Rose enters, the two look at each other and smile. Jack nervously chuckles and says, "Lie on that bed, uh I mean couch." However, the line was originally meant to be, "Lie on that couch". The slip of tongue, according to James Cameron, was perfect for the s*xual tension in the scene, and so it made it to the final cut.

The error made by Leonardo DiCaprio eventually turned out to be a line that gave rise to one of the most iconic scenes in Titanic.

Moreover, the iconic sketch that Jack draws, with Rose as his model, was actually made by the director of the film himself. As per reports, Kate Winslet had also mentioned in an interview that it was not Leonardo but James who had drawn her n*de sketch. In a statement she had revealed:

"No, Jim Cameron actually drew that. Maybe no one even knows that until this moment right now."

She further added that she was not totally n*ked during the shooting of the scene but was in a bathing suit.

Following the success of the Titanic, both Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio went on to bag bigger roles, making their names as two of the greatest actors in the industry.

Winslet delivered great performances in films like The Holiday, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and more, and also won the Academy Award for Best Actress for her performance as Hanna Schmitz in the 2008 film The Reader.

Di Caprio, on the other hand, appeared for a number of famous movies like Shutter Island, Catch Me If You Can, Blood Diamond, Inception, The Wolf Of Wall Street, Revolutionary Road and The Revenant. Di Caprio won the Academy Award for Best Actor, for his performance in The Revenant.

Titanic is currently available for streaming on Apple TV, Prime Video and Disney Hotstar.
