Kendrick Lamar was recently featured at the top spot on the Billboard list of the greatest pop stars of 2024. The list was based on the publication's editorial staff and their picks of artists and featured names such as Jelly Roll, Billie Eilish, and Charli XCX.
Lamar's inclusion as the top artist on the Greatest Pop Stars of 2024 list by Billboard has since then garnered reactions from the internet, as exemplified by the tweet below:

Other netizens' reactions were a bit more mixed. Some were congratulatory towards the star, while others found the rating to be problematic and some even went on to label charges of misogyny on the publication:

Kendrick Lamar's 2024 career highlights
With Billboard's ranking of Kendrick Lamar as the Greatest Pop Star of 2024, a brief look at the singer's career highlights for the year is required to detail his achievements.
Lamar started the year with a collaboration with Metro Boomin and Future on their album, We Don't Trust You. The singer worked on the single Like That, which was released on March 26, 2024. The track set off the feud between Lamar and Drake due to the diss at the latter from the former in the track.
This was followed by the track Euphoria, released on April 30, 2024. The continuation of the back and forth between the singer and Drake, the track was a response to the latter's Push Ups track.
The singer followed Euphoria with two more tracks later on, Meet the Grahams and Not Like Us, with the latter track ending his side of the feud between him and Drake, in 2024 at least.
After this, Kendrick Lamar released his sixth studio album, GNX, on November 22, 2024. The album tracklist is given below:

Kendrick Lamar will also do a 2025 tour alongside SZA. Titled the Grand National Tour, the tour will be held from April 19, 2025, to June 18, 2025, in venues across the US and Canada.
