Lil Baby recently took to social media to seemingly tease the release of the deluxe edition of WHAM. In response to fans' questions on Instagram, the singer stated that the deluxe edition of the album would be released the coming Tuesday, multiple times, both on social media comments as well as an Instagram Story post in which he tagged a user:
Fans have now reacted to the singer's attestations that the deluxe edition is coming this Tuesday, as exemplified by the tweet below:
"Same week deluxe sh*t for the sales push is embarrassing."
Others reacted to the apparent announcement of the deluxe edition in varied ways, some thinking the early deluxe release would be in response to first-week sales concerns, while others criticized the writing of the album itself, considering it to be weaker than Lil Baby's previous works and hoped that the deluxe edition solved some of the problems present in the standard edition:
"interesting when you consider how deluxes are being used in music industry today. Most artists wait at least 2 weeks to give a revival of streams to their project + back catalog. Dropping a deluxe so soon would make me think he’s worrying about first week numbers tbh—just a guess." one netizen reacted.
" Let us enjoy the album first 4 a month then drop that deluxe even tho I feel all the songs have the same follow of rhyme no interchange." another netizen stated.
"love lil baby n all but this gotta be his weakest album hopefully the deluxe can save it." one fan reacted.
"We’ve had enough already he can keep that." another fan reacted.
"Bro needs that first week and I tell u everyone knows Those numbers will matter." one commenter reacted.
