Director Scott Derrickson's The Gorge is streaming on Apple TV. The very fresh sci-fi release of 2025 marked its release on Valentine's Day, that is, 14th February 2025.
Written by Zach Dean, who has previously written for films including Deadfall (2012), 24 Hours to Live (2017), The Tomorrow War (2021), Fast X (2023), and more, has penned the script of The Gorge.
As the name suggests, The Gorge is set around unsettling events that take place in a mysterious, lethal gorge amidst nowhere. Two adept sharpshooters, Drasa and Levi, are brought on board to assess and hold control over the far ends of the gorge.
As the story progresses, the duo unveils some important, murky revelations about the gorge, as well as finding love together. However, The Gorge has an array of impressive characters, with a brilliant cast of actors portraying them at their finest.

1) Anya Taylor-Joy as Drasa
The immensely popular Anya Taylor-Joy essays the role of Drasa, who is of Lithuanian descent and works as a sniper for the Russian government.
She has been assigned by the government to travel to the gorge, to safeguard it from causing destruction on Earth.
According to Fugitives, Drasa struggles with fundamental questions about her sense of moral judgment, as her job demands her to participate in killing.
However, she remains grounded and hopeful due to her supportive father, Erikas.
Impressing the audience with her acting profess, Anya Taylor-Joy is well known for her work in films and series including The Witch (2015), Split (2016), Thoroughbreds (2017), The Queen's Gambit (2020), Emma (2020), The Menu (2022), Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga (2024) and Dune: Part Two (2024).
2) Miles Teller as Levi Kane
Noted actor Miles Teller is joining the cast of The Gorge, in the role of Levi Kane, a sniper from the United States.
Like Drasa, he too has been assigned by the government to take charge of the Gorge's protection.
According to Fugitives, Levi struggles with his mental health. It is a consequence of years of working as a sniper, which has led to the deterioration of his emotional well-being.
However, he discovers a fresh perspective on life, when he meets and gets close to Drasa.
Levi's journey is a realistic portrayal of mental health in the context of the military world.
Miles Teller is recognized for his work in films including Rabbit Hole (2010), the Divergent film series (2014-2016), Whiplash (2014), Fantastic Four (2015), and Top Gun: Maverick (2022), amongst many more.
3) Sigourney Weaver as Bartholomew
The iconic actor Sigourney Weaver joins the cast as the antagonistic Bartholomew, a corrupt official who manipulates her way to uphold influence over people and get things done.
The multiple award-winning actor Sigourney Weaver has been loved by the audience for decades.
