The Flip Off will launch on January 29, 2025, as officially confirmed by HGTV. HGTV opened its exciting new series which merges reality TV excitement with the highest property flipping risks. Two teams made up of HGTV's iconic home renovation and real estate experts compete in an action-packed competition for television viewers during The Flip Off in its thrilling premiere run.

Each team will focus on finding new properties that they need to transform the market for maximum profit return during their designated episode run. The Flip Off brings together demanding assignments and various design transformations alongside interpersonal conflicts to deliver an entirely fresh perspective on house-flipping shows enjoyed by followers.

The Concept

"The Flip Off" features two skilled home renovation teams. Team Haack follows the leadership of Christina Haack as its helm while Team El Moussa comprises Tarek El Moussa alongside his wife Heather Rae El Moussa.

Teams strive to buy decaying properties for remodeling purposes while striving to maximize their final sale proceeds. Each of the six episodes in "The Flip Off" results in the losing team having to give $2,000 to winners. The team that emerges victorious from the contest will receive an extravagant first-class vacation.

Cast Changes and Personal Dynamics

Initially, Christina Haack planned to team up with her then-husband, Josh Hall. However, following their separation in July 2024, the show proceeded without him. Christina's new teammate is rumored to be Michael Lange.

The series also highlights the evolving relationship between Christina and Heather Rae El Moussa. In a promotional skit, the two engage in a lighthearted "therapy session" discussing Tarek's habits, ending with a supportive hug. This interaction underscores their positive rapport despite past tensions.

Behind-the-Scenes Tensions

A preview clip from the show reveals a tense exchange between Christina Haack and Josh Hall during a car ride, filmed before their split.

In the clip, Josh expresses frustration over Christina's lack of enthusiasm, leading to a heated conversation.

Guest Appearances and Judges

The show will introduce three additional judges, Heatherrow, Ant Anstead, Jeff Lewis, and Amanza Smith, alongside its main judges, to evaluate the teams' makeover work.
